Tailored GP care, screening and ongoing support

Our service is private and delivered from our clinic by experienced GPs. From everyday concerns to preventative screening and longer-term support, we provide unhurried, evidence-based care with clear next steps and continuity.

Everyday GP Care
Support for the full range of primary care issues — whether something is new, persistent, or you’d like a second opinion. Typical areas include: infections, skin rashes, digestive symptoms, headaches, fatigue, minor injuries, sleep and stress.
Women's Health
Support across hormonal health, menstrual concerns, contraception advice, perimenopause/menopause care, and broader wellbeing. Where appropriate, we may recommend private blood tests or other investigations and agree a follow-up plan based on your goals.
Men's Health
Support for common men’s health concerns — including energy/fatigue, libido, prostate/urinary symptoms, and hormone-related queries. Where clinically appropriate, we can advise on suitable private investigations and provide sensible monitoring and review.
Preventative Health Screening
A structured approach to understanding your health now — and reducing avoidable risk over time. This may include a review of medical and family history, lifestyle factors, key measurements, and targeted testing based on your individual risk profile.
Blood Testing & Results Interpretation
We can recommend and arrange private blood tests when clinically appropriate — and interpret results in context, not in isolation. You’ll receive a clear explanation of what results mean, what matters, and what (if anything) to do next.
Long-Term Condition Reviews
Ongoing reviews for conditions such as hypertension, asthma/COPD, thyroid disorders, diabetes risk, and high cholesterol. Focus is on sensible monitoring, medication optimisation where appropriate, and a practical plan you can follow — with continuity of care.
Mental Wellbeing, Stress & Sleep
Support for anxiety, low mood, burnout, poor sleep, and stress-related physical symptoms. We take a measured, evidence-based approach and can discuss lifestyle changes, talking therapies, and medication options where appropriate.
Musculoskeletal & Sports-Related Issues
Assessment of joint, back and neck pain, tendon/ligament issues, and return-to-training guidance. If further investigation is needed, we can advise on appropriate private imaging/referral routes and help you navigate next steps.
Digestive Health & Bowel Symptoms
Support for reflux, bloating, IBS-type symptoms, persistent abdominal pain, and bowel habit changes. Where clinically appropriate, we can advise on suitable private tests and create a clear plan for management and review.
Referrals & Care Coordination
When specialist input is needed, we can advise on onward options and provide private referral letters where appropriate. With your consent, we can also write to your NHS GP to support continuity and help with NHS pathways where suitable.

Not sure where your concern fits?

Message or call our team and we’ll guide you to the right appointment type and clinician. If you’re unsure whether something is appropriate for private GP care, we’ll advise you honestly.

Consultations, investigations and treatments by other private care providers may incur additional fees. With your consent, we can also liaise with your NHS GP regarding appropriate NHS care. This is not an emergency service.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the West End Health service.
How quickly can I be seen?
We do our best to offer same-day appointments where you call us by 2pm - but otherwise within one working day. Appointments can also be booked in advance at a time to suit you.
How long are appointments?
30-minutes as standard - time to talk, understand and plan next steps.
Are there any age restrictions?
We welcome all ages, subject to membership availability at the time you join. Please note: health and dental assessments are for adults; children enjoy unlimited GP access with a Family Membership.
I have existing health problems - can I still join?
No. You are welcome to join regardless of pre-existing conditions. Our GPs can help manage ongoing issues and help to coordinate care with the NHS or private specialists where appropriate.
Can you refer me to consultants and specialists?
Yes. Where clinically appropriate, we can provide referral letters and help arrange private specialist consultations, diagnostics and imaging, including liaising with trusted providers locally and regionally.

If you would like to pursue an NHS route, we can, with your permission, write to your NHS GP with our clinical findings and recommendations to support them in progressing this. Please note that NHS referrals and onward appointments are at the discretion of your NHS GP and local pathways, and are typically subject to NHS waiting times.

For speed and certainty, many members choose the private route (via insurance or self-pay), which we can usually arrange more quickly.

If you’re using private medical insurance, please check your policy for any authorisation requirements, excess amounts, and whether private GP referrals are accepted.
Do I need to leave my NHS GP?
No. We strongly recommend you stay registered with your NHS GP practice.

‍West End Health sits alongside the NHS. With your consent, we'll share relevant information with your NHS GP to support continuity of care.
How do you handle my records and privacy?
We handle your information in line with strict confidentiality and consent standards. West End Health and West End Dental are partner services but separate entities, and records remain with the service that provides your care. West End Health records remain with West End Health; West End Dental records remain with West End Dental.

We do not share your information with anyone – including your NHS GP or other providers – unless you have given your explicit consent or where we are legally required to do so. Where you ask us to share information, we only provide what is relevant and necessary for the agreed purpose.
Is there a minimum membership term?
Yes - membership runs for a 12-month term, whether you pay annually or monthly.
Do you offer an emergency or out of hours service?
No - West End Health is not an emergency or out-of-hours service.

If you think it’s a medical emergency, call 999 or attend your local A&E. For urgent advice when it’s not an emergency (including outside our opening hours), contact NHS 111

We can then support with follow-up care, coordination, and any relevant clinical documentation following any emergency treatment.
